"This is astonishing this is the most people I have seen on the landing in a long long time," says Cardinals Fan Scott Eberhart. Laclede's landing is not the only place hopping this weekend. Whether black and gold, red or Blues, there is plenty of green to go around. "It's crowded," says Eberhart, "which is good for St. Louis."

Nurses For Newborns In Desperate Need Of Diapers

Melinda Ohlemiller had no idea the sort of response she would get after sending out a message on Facebook that her organization is in desperate need of diapers. Nurses for Newborns provides care for at-risk families making sure children receive the care they need to survive. They rely on donated items and last week their diaper shelf at their Shresbury headquarters was bare.

Firefighters got a little help from a fire chief and a generous entrepreneur taking to the streets. They took to the streets Sunday, and took money matters into their own hands."Man it's smelling real good!" says Duwayne Myers, standing behind his barbecue grill. "Best beef hot dogs in East St. Louis!"

Ballwin Man Drowns In Carlyle Lake

A Ballwin man is dead following an accident on Carlyle Lake. Authorities say two hunters found a capsized boat on the lake early Sunday morning. A short time later - the body of 75 year old Cecil Lindsey was found floating along the shoreline. Lindsey was apparently fishing when his boat hit some tree stumps or other objects in the water and turned over.

Spagnuolo Names Bradford As Rams Starting QB

Blaine Gabbert rallied the Tigers from a 10-point deficit with two touchdown passes and Carl Gettis made a leaping one-handed interception and downed a punt at the 1 in the fourth quarter of a 23-13 opening victory over Illinois on Saturday.

The St. Louis Hills Leg of the Gateway Cup Bike Race took place Saturday Morning. If you will not get to the Tour De France, this was your chance to find out what all the excitement is about. Three organizations teamed up to host a new event to raise funds and awareness of cycling for children with disabilities. The Tour de Unite featured celebrity riders paired with visually impaired children on tandems .

"We showed our guts," Gabbert said. "We came out in the second half and dominated." Missouri won without Derrick Washington, the school's leading rusher the last two seasons, who was kicked off the team earlier in the week after being charged with sexual assault.

Kirkwood Apartment Residents Scramble For Housing After Fire

The American Red Cross is now providing shelter for 22 residents following a fire at the Kirkwood Bluff Apartments . The fire broke out around 10:00 p.m. Friday night at the complex in the 2200 block of Timberview Road. The fire was contained to one unit however, multiple apartments sustained significant smoke damage.

The President of the Tournament of Roses Parade was at Lindbergh High School Friday night, praising the band as one of the nation's best, and helping them raise the 300 thousand dollars they need to make their second trip to the Rose Parade in five years. "It's truly an honor for Lindbergh to be in this," said Jeffrey Throop, Tournament of Roses Parade President. "They're one of just thirteen bands to be chosen. It's a very, very special honor."

Metro Area Police Cracking Down Drunk Driver and Seat Belts

The Labor Day holiday weekend means a lot of extra laboring for police in Missouri and Illinois. On both sides of the river Friday night, police were out in force trying to keep the roads safe. AAA estimates ten percent more people are hitting the roads during this Labor Day holiday than last year. Every available Missouri Highway Patrol trooper is working this weekend. The plan have a trooper every ten miles on I-70 on Friday then again on Monday.

A review of club lure's liquor license, took place in St. Louis Friday. Shootings and other violence in the area near the nightclub have the bar under fire. The review hearing started this morning. We heard testimony from officers then cross-examination from lures defense team. But the true fireworks flew when the city opened the floor up to residents and their opinions on the club.

The Gateway Cup cycling events will be taking place around the city, too. It all adds up to a dizzying weekend downtown.

Suffers From Williams Syndrome

From almost the moment he was born, Christina Gill's four year old son, Chase, has had a hard life. Just weeks after he was born, Chase developed a rare condition called Williams Syndrome, which in his case narrowed the arteries of his heart. Unfortunately, his condition also makes him susceptible to infections. He's had plenty already and his parents believe the constant use of syrupy antibiotics is why his four top teeth are rotted to below the gum and almost all the rest are also damaged.

Possible Abduction Investigation In Bridgeton

Missing Two-Year Old Found Unharmed

Bridgeton police are breathing a sigh of relief after a possible child abduction Friday morning. Police are not sure if a crime was committed or if it was something else like a miscommunication between the father and mother. It all began around 8:30 a.m. at a shelter for women in Bridgeton. A two year old was reported missing and the mother was upset. Police were able to contact the father by his cell phone and the father agreed to return the youngster. They helped in the reunion.

Event-Filled Holiday Weekend Underway In St. Louis

A busy weekend downtown St. Louis The Red Birds take on the Reds for the first time since the base brawl early last month. It was a bench clearing skirmish. Cincinatti's John Cueto began kicking anyone nearby including Jason Larue who was kicked in the head and ultimately put on the D.L. list for the season. It all began after Brandon Phillips had said that he hated the cards and called them complainers. Fines and suspensions were handed out after the fight.
