Two people are found dead inside a home on The Hill in South St. Louis after the the family of the landlord comes to check on the tenant. Investigators believe the man and woman died from a fire in the home. The deadly fire happened on Wilson Avenue. Fire crews got the call a little before three Wednesday afternoon. St. Louis Fire Chief Dennis Jenkerson tells us the blaze likely happened Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning and was already completely out when crews got there.

A chain reaction accident in Alton, Illinois, sent a high school student to the hospital and injured two others. It happened just yards from Alton High School, minutes after the final bell rang. The crash involved a stationary van, waiting to turn, and two other vehicles that smashed into each other, then careened into the van.

Smokers are running out of places to light up in the city of Clayton. Tuesday night the city council voted to ban smoking in city owned parks. Clayton recently passed a smoking ban directed at restaurants and bars. Now smoking will be banned on all city property, including outdoor parks.

Stan Kroenke is the new majority owner of the St. Louis Rams. NFL owners unanimously approved Kroenke's bid to become the majority owner of the Rams. Kroenke is buying the team from Chip Rosenblum and Lucia Rodriguez.. The children of longtime owner Georgia Frontiere. Kroenke has been a minority owner in the team since it moved to St. Louis in 1995. Kroenke will own 70-percent of the team, to Chip and Lucia's 30-percent.

A man sleeping behind a 7-11 in Florissant has been arrested as a homicide suspect from Walker, Michigan. The suspect is identified as 52-year-old Jack Jacqmain. A police officer discovered Mr.Jacqmain sleeping behind a 7-11 convenience store,. Jacqmain was unable to provide any positive identification.
